With God All Things Are Possible...

By the time you read this, I will have run 10 miles. I ran them last night at Walt Disney World’s Tower of Terror run. Now, before you get any ideas about my running abilities, let me explain something. I am not a runner. Despite my best efforts and my visions of an eight-minute mile,  I will never be what most people classify as a runner. I’m actually more of a run/walker. I run at the start, past the photographers, and run to the finish line. But that’s OK I always tell myself. I get the same medal as those who finished over an hour before me.

So what’s the big deal about me running? Well, I have MS, which makes running tricky. Heat aggravates my symptoms. Balance is an issue. Fatigue is a constant companion. The list goes on. Today I could be fine. Tomorrow could be a totally different story. MS is unpredictable like that. So rather than running, it would be a lot easier to say, “No thanks, it’s too hard.” But I’m stubborn and determined. So I ran. It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t pretty. But I ran. And I thank God that I was able. Things really are possible with God.

"And now let us begin this journey, the Bishop and people, this journey of the Church of Rome, which presides in charity over all the Churches, a journey of brotherhood in love, of mutual trust. Let us always pray for one another. Let us pray for the whole world that there might be a great sense of brotherhood.

I will now give my blessing to you and to the whole world, to all men and women of good will."

-Papa Francis quote

He does not know you, yet he prays for you.
He will most likely never meet you, yet he loves you.

This is your chance to show your love, for as the Bible teaches, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."
