Dispelling Rumors...

I hear there are rumors about things happening at St. Anthony Messenger and our parent, Franciscan Media. The true story is that, in a move to grow this ministry, we’ve decided to focus on St. Anthony Messenger and our popular lines of Franciscan Media and Servant Books. And we will continue to develop innovative, inspiring digital products (Saint of the Day, Catholic Greetings, webinars, apps, and everywhere else. That’s where we will continue to grow. That means, though, that we no longer will focus on parish products.

This much is true, and we’re delighted to share it: We are collaborating with Liguori Publications in a dramatic way. We sold to them our parish products, the most well known of which is Catholic Update. We will support them as needed and are looking forward to working with our Redemptorist friends in some new ways. Who knows what we might come up with together!

St. Anthony Messenger, now in its 122nd year of continuous publication, will remain our flagship. Our Franciscan Media books will continue to grow in stature, here at their Franciscan Media home. Our Servant Books will do the same. And so will our digital products.

Speaking of which, don’t miss our webinar with one of the nation’s leading Thomas Merton experts, Jonathan Montaldo, from our Franciscan Media studios tomorrow.

"And now let us begin this journey, the Bishop and people, this journey of the Church of Rome, which presides in charity over all the Churches, a journey of brotherhood in love, of mutual trust. Let us always pray for one another. Let us pray for the whole world that there might be a great sense of brotherhood.

I will now give my blessing to you and to the whole world, to all men and women of good will."

-Papa Francis quote

He does not know you, yet he prays for you.
He will most likely never meet you, yet he loves you.

This is your chance to show your love, for as the Bible teaches, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."
