That’s My Little Girl...

Last night my oldest daughter, Maddie, left on a bus filled with her high school classmates. Their destination? Washington, DC, for the annual March for Life. It was her idea. She said she wanted to experience what it felt like to be part of a group coming together for a common cause. Of course, my husband, Mark, and I gave her our blessing. All too often, I wonder if we are making any kind of impression on our kids. Last night, as I watched the bus pull away, I felt the answer was, “yes.”

To say I’m immensely proud, is probably an understatement. My little girl is becoming her own young woman with her own ideals and convictions. She is mapping out her course in this world, and how she can  make a difference in it. Is there anything more for which a mom could ask?

"And now let us begin this journey, the Bishop and people, this journey of the Church of Rome, which presides in charity over all the Churches, a journey of brotherhood in love, of mutual trust. Let us always pray for one another. Let us pray for the whole world that there might be a great sense of brotherhood.

I will now give my blessing to you and to the whole world, to all men and women of good will."

-Papa Francis quote

He does not know you, yet he prays for you.
He will most likely never meet you, yet he loves you.

This is your chance to show your love, for as the Bible teaches, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."
